Abstract
Described is a reconfigurable transmitter which includes: a first pad; a second pad; a first single-ended driver coupled to the first pad; a second single-ended driver to the second pad; a differential driver coupled to the first and second pads; and a logic unit to enable of the first and second single-ended drivers, or to enable the differential driver.
Claims20
An apparatus comprising:
- a first data line;
- a second data line;
- and
- a transceiver coupled to the first and second data lines, wherein the transceiver is operable to support non-simultaneous bi-directional data transmission on the first and second data lines.
An apparatus comprising:
- a first power supply node to provide a first power supply to first and second single-ended drivers;
- a second power supply node separate from the first power supply node, wherein the second power supply node is to provide a second power supply to a differential driver, wherein the first and second single-ended drivers are coupled to first and second pads, respectively, and wherein the differential driver is coupled to the first and second pads;
- a third power supply node;
- and
- a switch operable to cause a current path from the second power supply node to the third power supply node.
The system of claim 19, wherein the first and second single-ended drivers and the differential driver are coupled to first and second data lines, which are coupled to the first and second pads, respectively, and wherein the first and second single-ended drivers and the differential driver are operable to support non-simultaneous bi-directional data transmission on the first and second data lines.
A system comprising:
- a memory;
- a processor coupled to the memory, wherein one of the processor and memory include reconfigurable dual-mode transceiver, which comprises:
- a first power supply node to provide a first power supply to first and second single-end
- a second power supply node separate from the first power supply node, wherein the second power supply node is to provide a second power supply to a differential driver, wherein the first and second single-ended drivers are coupled to first and second pads, respectively, and wherein the differential driver is coupled to the first and second pads;
- a third power supply node;
- and
- a switch operable to cause a current path from the second power supply node to the third power supply node;
- and
- an antenna communicatively coupled to the processor.
