Slide bar display control device and slide bar display control method

A method of controlling a display, the method comprising:

• displaying on the display a slider configured to overlap and slide along a bar for setting a value, the bar configured to define a range within which a position of the slider corresponds to the set value;
• detecting a touch operation by a user at a touch position corresponding to a position on the display;
• changing a position of the slider to a first position based on the touch position;
• setting a first value in a first range based on the first position of the slider;
• in response to detecting the touch operation corresponding to the first position for more than a predetermined time, changing the defined range from the first range to a second range and an appearance of the bar from a first appearance to a second appearance in portions of the bar that do not overlap with the slider while keeping the slider in the first position;
• after the defined range has changed to the second range, changing the first value based on a change of the touch position for the slider;
• and
• determining a second value in response to a release of the detected touch operation.

A non-transitory computer readable medium having stored therein program instructions that when executed by a processor perform a method of controlling a display, the method comprising:

• displaying on the display a slider configured to overlap and slide along a bar for setting a value, the bar configured to define a range within which a position of the slider corresponds to the set value;
• detecting a touch operation by a user at a touch position corresponding to a position on the display;
• changing a position of the slider to a first position based on the touch position;
• setting a first value in a first range based on the first position of the slider;
• in response to detecting the touch operation corresponding to the first position for more than a predetermined time, changing the defined range from the first range to a second range and an appearance of the bar from a first appearance to a second appearance in portions of the bar that do not overlap with the slider while keeping the slider in the first position;
• after the defined range has changed to the second range, changing the first value based on a change of the touch position for the slider;
• and
• determining a second value in response to a release of the detected touch operation.
