Display including a plurality of light sources and a plurality of waveguides

A display including:

• a plurality of light sources (8) configured to emit light beams;
• a plurality of optical cores (10) having an elongated shape, each optical core having a respective first end, which is optically coupled to a corresponding light source, each optical core being further configured so that, in use, the light beam emitted from the corresponding light source propagates in a guided manner inside the optical core;
• and
• a screen (20), each optical core having a respective second end, which is optically coupled to said screen;
• said display further comprising an optical separation element (22), which forms a plurality of cavities (25) that house corresponding optical cores (10), each cavity and the corresponding optical core forming a corresponding gap (28), said corresponding gap and said corresponding optical core forming a waveguide;
• and wherein said optical separation element (22) is configured to absorb visible light and laterally surround at least, the first end of each optical core.
