Abstract
The present invention relates, in part, to heat transfer compositions and methods that include (a) from about 60% to about 70% by weight of HFC-32; (b) from about 20% to about or less than 40% by weight of a compound selected from unsaturated —CF3 terminated propenes, unsaturated —CF3 terminated butenes, and combinations of these; and (c) from greater than about 0% to about 10% by weight of n-butane, isobutane, and combinations thereof.
Claims20
A heat transfer composition comprising:
- (a) from about 60% to about 70% by weight of HFC-32;
- (b) from about 20% to less than about 40% by weight of a compound selected from unsaturated —CF3 terminated propenes, unsaturated —CF3 terminated butenes, and combinations of these;
- and
- (c) from greater than about 0% to about 10% by weight of a compound selected from the group consisting of n-butane, isobutane and combinations thereof,
- provided that the amount of component (c) is effective to improve one or more of the composition's glide;
- heating capacity, cooling capacity, heating efficiency, cooling efficiency;
- and/or discharge temperature, as compared to compositions lacking component (c).

- (b) from about 20% to less than about 40% by weight of transHFO-1234ze;
- and
- (c) from greater than about 0% to about 10% by weight of a compound selected from the group consisting of n-butane, isobutane and combinations thereof,
- provided that the amount of component (c) is effective to improve one or more of the composition's glide;
