Abstract
A power converter circuit includes a monitoring module that monitors a DC power source, the monitoring module comprising a microcontroller. The power converter circuit also includes a temperature sensor providing temperature data to the microcontroller. In response to an indication from the temperature data of a failure or a problem, the microcontroller changes a parameter of the power converter circuit.

An apparatus comprising:
- a power converter circuit comprising a monitoring module which monitors a DC power source, the monitoring module comprising a microcontroller;
- and
- a temperature sensor providing temperature data to the microcontroller,
- wherein, in response to an indication from the temperature data of a failure or a problem, the microcontroller changes a parameter of the power converter circuit.

- monitoring a DC power source by a monitoring module of a power converter circuit, the monitoring module comprising a microcontroller;
- receiving, by the microcontroller, temperature data from a temperature sensor;
- and
- changing a parameter of the power converter circuit by the microcontroller in response to an indication from the temperature data of a failure or a problem.
