Abstract
A diagnostic support for a skin includes a radio-transparent structure that defines a folding surface of the skin and on which the skin may be stretched and consequently folded, thereby defining folded, mutually superimposed portions spaced apart from each other. The support may be used for radiographic inspection of a folded animal skin.

A diagnostic support for a skin, comprising:
- a radio-transparent structure configured to define at least one folding surface of said skin and on which said skin is at least partially stretched and consequently folded, thereby defining folded, mutually superimposed portions of said skin,
- wherein said radio-transparent structure is configured to position itself between said folded portions, thus spacing them apart from each other.
A method for inspecting a skin, comprising:
- folding said skin back on itself, defining mutually spaced folded portions;
- inserting at least part of said folded skin in a field of view of an imaging device;
- and
- imaging said folded skin using said imaging device.
A method for inspecting a skin designed to detect defects in said skin, comprising:
- imaging said skin and identifying points in said imaging;
- obtaining a superficial image of said skin and identifying points in said superficial image;
- and
- spatially cross-referencing said imaging and said superficial image to relate the points of said imaging to the points of said superficial image, to identify in said superficial image the position of a defect in said imaging.
