Abstract
The present invention relates to DEV and the uses thereof. The invention is particularly suited to vaccinate poultry against avian pathogens.
Claims17
A Duck Enteritis Virus (DEV) comprising a foreign nucleic acid, wherein said virus has an inactive UL4 gene and wherein the foreign nucleic acid is located in the US7 gene of the virus.
The DEV of claim 3, wherein the antigen is a VP2 protein of an IBDV or an immunogenic fragment thereof.
The DEV of claim 3, wherein the foreign nucleic acid contains a transcriptional promoter.
