Methods for producing polycyclic aromatic aminophenol compound and resin composition, and polycyclic aromatic aminophenol compound, resin composition, and cured product

A method for producing a resin composition, the method comprising:

• the step of reacting a compound represented by the general formula (1) and an aromatic amino compound with each other;
• and
• the step of adding a thermosetting resin:
• wherein
• n represents an integer of 1 to 8,
• Ar represents a benzene ring optionally having a substituent, or a naphthalene ring optionally having a substituent,
• each of R1 and R2 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and optionally having a substituent, or an aromatic group optionally having a substituent, and
• R3 represents a hydroxyl group, a methoxy group, or a halogen atom.

A polycyclic aromatic aminophenol compound represented by the following general formula (2):

• wherein
• each of n and m independently represents an integer of 1 to 8,
• p represents an integer of 1 to 7,
• Ar represents a benzene ring optionally having a substituent, or a naphthalene ring optionally having a substituent,
• each of R1 and R2 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and optionally having a substituent, or an aromatic group optionally having a substituent,
• Y1 each independently represents a direct bond or a divalent linking group, and
• A represents a structure having one or more benzene rings.

A polycyclic aromatic aminophenol compound which is any one of compounds represented by the following general formulae (3-1) to (3-7):

• wherein
• each of n1 and n2 independently represents an integer of 0 to 4, with the proviso that the relationship:
• n1+n2≥1 is satisfied,
• each of n3 and n4 independently represents an integer of 0 to 4, with the proviso that the relationship:
• 4≥n3+n4≥1 is satisfied,
• n5 represents an integer of 1 to 3,
• R each independently represents a hydroxyl group or a methyl group,
• each of n6 and q independently represents an integer of 1 to 4, with the proviso that the relationship:
• 5≥n6+q≥2 is satisfied, and
• n7 represents an integer of 2 to 5.
