Abstract
Provided are a 3-epimerase, an encoding polynucleotide therefor, a nucleic acid construct, vector, and host cell comprising the polynucleotide, a method for producing the 3-epimerase, and use of the 3-epimerase.
Claims15
A composition comprising a 3-epimerase, comprising a polypeptide or protein selected-from a group consisting of:
- (a) having an amino acid sequence which is at least 70% identical to a sequence as shown in SEQ ID No:
- 2;
- (b) encoded by a polynucleotide hybridized to
- (i) a sequence encoding a polypeptide as shown in SEQ ID No:
- 1,
- (ii) a genomic DNA sequence comprising the sequence encoding a polypeptide as shown in SEQ ID No:
- 1, or
- (iii) a full-length complement strand of (i) or (ii);
- (c) encoded by a polynucleotide having a sequence at least 70% identical to the sequence encoding a polypeptide as shown in SEQ ID No:
- 1;
- (d) a variant of the polypeptide or protein as shown in SEQ ID No:
- 2, comprising one or more amino acid substitutions, deletions and/or insertions;
- (e) any polypeptide or protein of (a), (b) or (c), having an amino acid sequence comprising or consisting of the sequence as shown in SEQ ID No:
- 2;
- and
- (f) a fragment of the polypeptide or protein of (a), (b), (c), (d), or (e), having the 3-epimerase activity.
