Abstract
A cementitious composite includes a structure layer, a cementitious material, a water-impermeable sealing layer, and a containment layer. The structure layer has a first side and an opposing second side. The structure layer defines a plurality of open spaces. The cementitious material includes a plurality of cementitious particles disposed within the plurality of open spaces of the structure layer. The water-impermeable sealing layer is disposed along the first side of the structure layer. The containment layer is disposed along the opposing second side of the structure layer. The containment layer is positioned to prevent the plurality of cementitious particles from migrating out of the structure layer through the containment layer.

A cementitious composite comprising:
- a structure layer having a first side and an opposing second side, the structure layer defining a plurality of open spaces;
- a cementitious material including a plurality of cementitious particles disposed within the plurality of open spaces of the structure layer;
- a water-impermeable sealing layer disposed along the first side of the structure layer;
- and
- a containment layer disposed along the opposing second side of the structure layer, the containment layer positioned to prevent the plurality of cementitious particles from migrating out of the structure layer through the containment layer.
A cementitious composite comprising:
- a structure layer having a first side and an opposing second side, the structure layer defining a plurality of open spaces;
- a cementitious material including a plurality of cementitious particles disposed within the plurality of open spaces of the structure layer;
- a first outer layer disposed along the first side of the structure layer;
- and
- a second outer layer disposed along the opposing second side of the structure layer, the second outer layer positioned to prevent the plurality of cementitious particles from migrating out of the structure layer through the second outer layer, the second outer layer including a coating.
A method for manufacturing a cementitious composite, the method comprising:
- providing a structure layer having a first side and an opposing second side, the structure layer including a plurality of fibers arranged in a nonwoven configuration, the plurality of fibers defining open space;
- coupling a water-impermeable layer to the first side of the structure layer;
- disposing a cementitious material within the open space of the structure layer;
- and
- positioning a containment layer along the opposing second side of the structure layer.
