Abstract
The present invention relates to novel (per)fluoropolyether polymers and their use as lubricants, in particular for Magnetic Recording Media (MRM).
Claims15
A polymer [polymer (P)] comprising:
- at least one (per)fluoropolyether chain (Rpf) and
- at least one chain (C) comprising at least one hydroxy group and at least one group (H) comprising a heteroatom selected from the elements belonging to group 15 of the periodic table,
- provided that polymer (P) does not comprise amide group(s) and is different from a polymer of formula
- R1RN—[CH2]r—[CF2O]s—[CF2CF2O]t—[CF2O]u—CF2—[CH2]v—NRR1
- wherein
- r, s, t, u and v are independently zero or an integer, with the proviso that s, t and u are not all zero, and
- R and R1 are independently selected from —[OCH2CH2]yOH, —OCH2CH(OH)CH2OH, —CH2CH2OH and —CH2CH2CH3.
