Method and apparatus for providing feedback between base transceiver stations through cooperative communication in wireless communication system

A method by mobility management entity (MME) in a mobile communication system, the method comprising:

• receiving, from a terminal, a public data network (PDN) connectivity request message including information associated with a network based IP flow mobility (NBIFOM);
• transmitting, to the terminal, an activate default bearer request message including at least one of a wireless local area network (WLAN) offload indication and information on whether the terminal uses a radio access network (RAN) rule;
• and
• offloading an internet protocol (IP) flow to a WLAN within a multi-access PDN connection based on the activate default bearer request message.

A terminal in a mobile communication system, the terminal comprising:

• a transceiver;
• and
• a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to:
• control the transceiver to transmit, to a mobility management entity (MME), a public data network (PDN) connectivity request message including information associated with a network based IP flow mobility (NBIFOM),
• control the transceiver to receive, from the MME, an activate default bearer request message including at least one of a wireless local area network (WLAN) offload indication and information on whether the terminal uses a radio access network (RAN) rule, and
• offload an internet protocol (IP) flow to a WLAN within a multi-access PDN connection based on the activate default bearer request message.

A mobility management entity (MME) in a mobile communication system, the MME comprising:

• a transceiver;
• and
• a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to:
• control the transceiver to receive, from a terminal, a public data network (PDN) connectivity request message including information associated with a network based IP flow mobility (NBIFOM),
• control the transceiver to transmit, to the terminal, an activate default bearer request message including at least one of a wireless local area network (WLAN) offload indication and information on whether the terminal uses a radio access network (RAN) rule, and
• offload an internet protocol (IP) flow to a WLAN within a multi-access PDN connection based on the activate default bearer request message.
