Abstract
A device includes a first memory circuit, a second memory circuit and a processing circuit. The memory circuit is configured to store a distinguishable identification (ID). The second memory circuit is configured to store first hash data, wherein the first hash data is generated according to the distinguishable ID. The processing circuit is configured to generate second hash data according to the distinguishable ID when the device is powered on, and to compare the first hash data and the second hash data to determine whether the second hash data matches the first hash data.
Claims20
A device, comprising:
- a first memory circuit configured to store a distinguishable identification (ID);
- a second memory circuit configured to store first hash data, wherein the first hash data is generated according to the distinguishable ID;
- and
- a processing circuit configured to generate second hash data according to the distinguishable ID when the device is powered on, and to compare the first hash data and the second hash data to determine whether the second hash data matches the first hash data.
A method, comprising:
- generating first hash data based on a distinguishable identification (ID), a factory ID and a program ID of a device;
- and
- comparing the first hash data with second hash data that is stored in a memory circuit and associated with the distinguishable ID, the factory ID and the program ID;
- and
- when the first hash data is the same as the second hash data, initiating authentication and operation of the device.
A method, comprising:
- defining a size of a distinguishable identification (ID) of a device;
- generating first hash data and second hash data for an authentication, wherein each one of the first hash data and the second hash data is associated with the distinguishable ID, a factory ID and a program ID, and the first hash data is stored in a memory circuit;
- and
- when the authentication is successful, initiating authentication and operation of the device.
