Abstract
An image display device acquires information of an object around a moving body and determines whether shielding is allowed or not allowed for the object according to whether an acquired importance of the object is higher than a threshold value. The image display device displays image data indicating the object by superimposing it on a scenery around the moving body regardless of a position of the object, with respect to the object for which it is determined that the shielding is not allowed, and determines whether to display the object by superimposing it on the scenery in accordance with the position of the object, with respect to the object for which it is determined that the shielding is allowed.

An image display device comprising:
- processing circuitry to:
- acquire information of an object around a moving body;
- determine that shielding is not allowed for the object when an acquired importance of the object is higher than a threshold value;
- and
- display image data indicating the object by superimposing it on a scenery around the moving body regardless of a position of the object, with respect to the object for which it is determined that the shielding is not allowed, wherein
- when the object is a moving object, the importance is calculated from a relative distance which is a distance from the moving body to the object and a relative speed which is a speed at which the object approaches the moving body.
An image display method comprising:
- acquiring information of an object around a moving body, by a processor;
- determining that shielding is not allowed for the object when an acquired importance of the object is higher than a threshold value;
- and
- displaying image data indicating the object by superimposing it on a scenery around the moving body regardless of a position of the object, with respect to the object for which it is determined that the shielding is not allowed, wherein
- when the object is a moving object, the importance is calculated from a relative distance which is a distance from the moving body to the object and a relative speed which is a speed at which the object approaches the moving body.
A non-transitory computer readable medium storing an image display program to cause a computer to execute:
- an object information acquisition process of acquiring information of an object around a moving body;
- a shielding determination process of determining that shielding is not allowed for the object when an importance of the object acquired by the object information acquisition process is higher than a threshold value;
- and
- a display control process of displaying image data indicating the object by superimposing it on a scenery around the moving body regardless of a position of the object, with respect to the object for which it is determined by the shielding determination process that the shielding is not allowed, wherein
- when the object is a moving object, the importance is calculated from a relative distance which is a distance from the moving body to the object and a relative speed which is a speed at which the object approaches the moving body.
