Abstract
One embodiment can provide a system for authenticating an object. During operation, the system configures an environment surrounding the object according to one or more target environmental factors, captures at least a first image of the object while the object is exposed to the target environmental factors, and determines Fan authenticity of the object based on the captured first image and the target environmental factors.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method for authenticating an object, the method comprising:
- configuring an environment surrounding the object according to one or more target environmental factors;
- capturing at least a first image of the object while the object is exposed to the target environmental factors;
- and
- determining an authenticity of the object based on the captured first image and the target environmental factors.
A computer-implemented method for authenticating a user, the method comprising:
- receiving a service request from the user;
- prompting the user to display an identification card to a camera;
- configuring an environment surrounding the identification card according to one or more target environmental factors;
- configuring the camera to capture at least a first image of the identification card while the identification card is exposed to the target environmental factors;
- determining an authenticity of the identification card based on the captured first image and the target environmental factors;
- and
- authenticating the user based on the determined authenticity of the identification card.
A computer system, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a storage device coupled to the processor and storing instructions, which when executed by the processor cause the processor to perform a method for authenticating an object, the method comprising:
- configuring an environment surrounding the object according to one or more target environmental factors;
- capturing at least a first image of the object while the object is exposed to the target environmental factors;
- and
- determining an authenticity of the object based on the captured first image and the target environmental factors.
