Hiring demand index

A system comprising:

• a memory comprising instructions;
• and
• one or more computer processors, wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more computer processors, cause the one or more computer processors to perform operations comprising:
• determining job metrics for a global pool of users, the job metrics being based on job-post communications received by the users in the global pool of users;
• receiving filters for generating a report, the filters being applied to the global pool of users based on user profile data;
• identifying a talent pool based on the received filters;
• determining a talent-pool metric based on the job-post communications received by the users in the talent pool;
• determining a hiring demand index based on the talent-pool metric and the job metrics for the global pool of users, the hiring demand index providing a degree of difficulty for hiring users from the talent pool;
• and
• causing presentation of the report, the report including the hiring demand index for the talent pool.

A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:

• determining job metrics for a global pool of users, the job metrics being based on job-post communications received by the users in the global pool of users;
• receiving filters for generating a report, the filters being applied to the global pool of users based on user profile data;
• identifying a talent pool based on the received filters;
• determining a talent-pool metric based on the job-post communications received by the users in the talent pool;
• determining a hiring demand index based on the talent-pool metric and the job metrics for the global pool of users, the hiring demand index providing a degree of difficulty for hiring users from the talent pool;
• and
• causing presentation of the report, the report including the hiring demand index for the talent pool.
