## Abstract

Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for multi-component asset transfer. A plurality of references can be generated from a manifest of a content asset. A monitoring agent can determine when a content item for the content asset is received and modify the state of the corresponding reference.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method comprising:
determining, based on a reference of a plurality of references corresponding to a plurality of content items of a content asset, that a content item of the plurality of content items has been received from a content source;
transmitting, based on determining that the content item has been received from the content source, the content item to one or more ingestion devices;
modifying a state of the reference to indicate a receipt of the content item from the content source; and
determining that a state of each of the plurality of references has been modified.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising
receiving, from the content source, a manifest for the content asset; and
generating, based on the manifest, the plurality of references.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of references comprises a plurality of files, and wherein modifying the state of the reference comprises deleting a file of the plurality of files.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3, wherein determining that the state of each of the plurality of references has been modified comprises determining that each of the plurality of files has been deleted.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein modifying the state of the reference comprises modifying at least one of a tag or a header associated with the reference.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein transmitting the content item to the one or more ingestion devices comprises storing the content item at a predefined location accessible to the one or more ingestion devices.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein transmitting the content item to the one or more ingestion devices facilitates at least one of a transcoding of the content item or a validation of the content item.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving, from the one or more ingestion devices, an indication that the content item should be reacquired from the content source.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, further comprising restoring the state of the reference corresponding to the content item in response to the indication.

### Claim 10 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, further comprising transmitting, to the content source, a request for the content item in response to the indication.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising transmitting a manifest for the content asset to the ingestion process.

### Claim 12

A method comprising:
receiving, from a content source, a manifest indicating a plurality of content items of a content asset;
generating, based on the manifest, a plurality of reference files, each comprising an identifier of a corresponding one of the plurality of content items;
receiving a content item of the plurality of content items;
deleting a reference file of the plurality of reference files in response to determining that the content item has been received; and
transmitting the content item to one or more ingestion devices.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The method of claim 12, wherein transmitting the content item to the one or more ingestion devices facilitates at least one of transcoding the content item or validating the content item.

### Claim 14 (depends on 12)

The method of claim 12, further comprising determining that the content items has been received by comparing an identifier of the reference file to the content item.

### Claim 15 (depends on 12)

The method of claim 12, further comprising:
transmitting, to the one or more ingestion devices, a placeholder content item corresponding to a second content item of the plurality of content items; and
deleting a second reference file of the plurality of reference files corresponding to the placeholder content item.

### Claim 16 (depends on 12)

The method of claim 12, further comprising transmitting the manifest to the one or more ingestion devices.

### Claim 17 (depends on 12)

The method of claim 12, further comprising receiving an indication from the ingestion process that the content item should be reacquired from the content source.

### Claim 18 (depends on 17)

The method of claim 17, further comprising regenerating the reference file corresponding to the content item in response to the indication.

### Claim 19

A method comprising:
determining that a state of a reference file associated with a content item of a content asset is a first state;
determining, in response to the reference file being in the first state, that the content item of the content asset is stored;
modifying, in response to the content item of the content asset being stored, the state of the reference file to a second state; and
transmitting the content item of the content asset to one or more ingestion devices.

### Claim 20 (depends on 19)

The method of claim 19, wherein modifying the state of the reference file to a second state comprises at least one of: modifying a tag of the reference file, modifying a header of the reference file, or deleting the reference file.
