Ecu and peripherals update using central dispatch unit

A system for updating software of embedded devices locally connected to a central dispatch device, the code comprising:

• a central dispatch device comprising at least one processor adapted to execute code, the code comprising:
• code instructions to obtain an update package for at least one of a plurality of embedded devices, the at least one embedded device is operatively connected to the central dispatch device via a communication interconnection;
• code instructions to transfer a transient update agent to the at least one embedded device;
• and
• code instructions to transfer the update package to the at least one embedded device, the at least one embedded device executes the transient update agent to apply the update package in the at least one embedded device, the at least one embedded device discards the transient update agent after the update package is applied.
