Abstract
A mounting and fastening system clamp has an inboard-outboard axis, and includes a clamp inboard surface extending transversely with respect to the axis; a clamp outboard surface extending transversely with respect to the axis; a clamp outward surface extending between the inboard and outboard surfaces; a tapered inward surface extending between the inboard and outboard surfaces and tapering in an axially inboard and radially inward direction; and a rail mating inward surface extending between the inboard and outboard surfaces.
Claims21
A mounting and fastening system clamp having an inboard-outboard axis, and comprising:
- a clamp inboard surface extending transversely with respect to the axis;
- a clamp outboard surface extending transversely with respect to the axis;
- a clamp outward surface extending between the inboard and outboard surfaces;
- a tapered inward surface extending between the inboard and outboard surfaces and tapering in an axially inboard and radially inward direction;
- and
- a rail mating inward surface extending between the inboard and outboard surfaces.
A mounting and fastening system clamp assembly having an inboard-outboard axis, comprising:
- first and second mating components clampable toward one another in a direction transverse to the axis, and including:
- clamp inboard surfaces extending transversely with respect to the axis;
- clamp outboard surfaces extending transversely with respect to the axis;
- clamp outward surfaces extending between the clamp inboard and outboard surfaces;
- clamp tapered inward surfaces extending between the clamp inboard and outboard surfaces and tapering in an axially inboard and radially inward direction;
- and
- mating inward surfaces extending between the inboard and outboard surfaces and configured for surface contact between the first and second mating components.
