Method for controlling air conditioner system

A method of controlling an air conditioner system having a plurality of units belonging to a particular group, the plurality of units including first, second, third, and fourth units, the method comprising:

• when a communication error occurs in the fourth unit, transmitting, from the fourth unit, a notification signal that notifies other units in the plurality of units of a tuning process;
• measuring, by the fourth unit, a reception sensitivity and a transmission and reception success rate of the fourth unit by wirelessly communicating, with a signal strength of the fourth unit, with the other units while increasing the signal strength of the fourth unit by one level at a time;
• when the reception sensitivity and the transmission and reception success rate of the fourth unit satisfy a predetermined standard, determining, by the fourth unit, that the signal strength of the fourth unit corresponding to a level that satisfies the predetermined standard is the signal strength to be used by the fourth unit;
• and
• transmitting to the first unit, by the fourth unit, information related to the determined signal strength of the fourth unit.

A method of controlling an air conditioner system including a master device and a plurality of slave devices belonging to a network group, the method comprising:

• wirelessly transmitting, from a slave device among the plurality of slave devices, a communication signal having a strength set to a default communication strength of the slave device to all other devices of the network group;
• wirelessly receiving in the slave device a set of confirmation signals from all other devices of the network group;
• measuring a reception quality of the slave device based on the received set of confirmation signals;
• comparing the reception quality of the slave device to a predetermined quality;
• performing a tune-down method when the reception quality is greater than the predetermined quality, the tune-down method comprising:
• decreasing the strength of the communication signal from the default communication strength by a predetermined increment, wirelessly transmitting the communication signal at the decreased strength from the slave device to all other devices in the network group, wirelessly receiving a subsequent set of confirmation signals from all other devices in the network group, measuring the reception quality of the slave device based on the subsequent set of confirmation signals, and comparing the reception quality of the slave device to the predetermined quality;
• when the measured reception quality is still greater than the predetermined quality, repeating the decreasing of the strength of the communication signal, the wirelessly transmitting of the communication signal at the decreased strength, the wireless receiving of the subsequent set of confirmation signals, the measuring of the reception quality, and the comparing of the reception quality to the predetermined quality until the reception quality is equal to or less than the predetermined quality, and
• when the reception quality is equal to or less than the predetermined quality, setting the strength of the communication signal of the slave device to the strength corresponding to the last strength where the reception quality was greater than the predetermined quality;
• performing a tune-up method when the reception quality is less than the predetermined quality, the tune-up method comprising:
• increasing the strength of the communication signal from the default communication strength by a predetermined increment, wirelessly transmitting the communication signal at the increased strength from the slave device to all other devices in the network group, wirelessly receiving a subsequent set of confirmation signals from all other devices in the network group, measuring the reception quality of the slave device based on the subsequent set of confirmation signals, and comparing the reception quality of the slave device to the predetermined quality;
• when the measured reception quality is still less than the predetermined quality, repeating the increasing of the strength of the communication signal, the wirelessly transmitting of the communication signal at the decreased strength, the wireless receiving of the subsequent set of confirmation signals, the measuring of the reception quality, and the comparing of the reception quality to the predetermined quality until the reception quality is equal to or less than the predetermined quality, and
• when the reception quality is equal to greater than the predetermined quality, setting the strength of the communication signal of the slave device to the strength corresponding to the current strength where the reception quality is equal to or greater than the predetermined quality.
