Abstract
The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices and establishing fluid communication between body lumens. In particular, the present disclosure relates to devices and methods for establishing a controlled flow or access passage between body lumens.
Claims20
A medical device, comprising:
- an elongate tubular body comprising a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a length therebetween, the elongate tubular body defining a lumen along the length;
- the elongate tubular body having an unexpanded configuration, and an expanded configuration wherein the proximal portion expands into a proximal retention member, the distal portion expands into a distal retention member leaving a cylindrical saddle region extending therebetween;
- and
- wherein the cylindrical saddle region includes a constricted portion configured to move between a first diameter configuration and a second diameter configuration larger than the first diameter configuration.

A medical device, comprising:
- an elongate tubular body comprising a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a length therebetween, the elongate tubular body defining a lumen along the length;
- the elongate tubular body having an unexpanded configuration, and an expanded configuration, wherein the proximal portion expands into a proximal retention member and the distal portion expands into a distal retention member leaving a cylindrical saddle region therebetween;
- and
- a plug disposed within the cylindrical saddle region, wherein the plug is configured to move between a closed configuration and an open configuration.

A medical device, comprising:
- an elongate tubular body comprising a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a length extending therebetween, the elongate tubular body forming a lumen along the length;
- the elongate tubular body having an unexpanded configuration, and an expanded configuration, wherein the proximal portion expands into a proximal retention member, the distal portion expands into a distal retention member, and a cylindrical saddle region extends therebetween;
- and
- a cone attached to or integrally formed with a portion of the elongate tubular body, wherein the cone is configured to move between a first diameter configuration and an enlarged second diameter configuration within the cylindrical saddle region.
