Method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving control signal for merging carriers in transmission

A method of transmitting a signal by a user equipment (UE) configured with a plurality of carriers, the method comprising:

• receiving, through a first carrier among the plurality of carriers, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signal including uplink (UL) grant-downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling transmission of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) signal, wherein the UL grant-DCI includes carrier indication information;
• transmitting, through a second carrier among the plurality of carriers, the PUSCH signal based on determining that the carrier indication information of the UL grant-DCI is related to the second carrier;
• and
• receiving, through the first carrier where the PDCCH signal has been received, hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) information regarding the PUSCH signal transmitted through the second carrier.

A method of receiving a signal by a base station (BS) operating a plurality of carriers, the method comprising:

• transmitting, to a user equipment (UE) through a first carrier among the plurality of carriers, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signal including uplink (UL) grant-downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling transmission of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) signal, wherein the UL grant-DCI includes carrier indication information related to a second carrier among the plurality of carriers;
• receiving, from the UE through the second carrier, the PUSCH signal as scheduled based on the UL grant-DCI;
• and
• transmitting, through the first carrier where the PDCCH signal has been transmitted, hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) information regarding the PUSCH signal received through the second carrier.

A user equipment (UE) configured with a plurality of carriers, the UE comprising:

• a transceiver;
• and
• a processor controls the transceiver to:
• receive, through a first carrier among the plurality of carriers, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signal including uplink (UL) grant-downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling transmission of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) signal, wherein the UL grant-DCI includes carrier indication information;
• transmit, through a second carrier among the plurality of carriers, the PUSCH signal based on determining that the carrier indication information of the UL grant-DCI is related to the second carrier;
• and
• receive, through the first carrier where the PDCCH signal has been received, hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) information regarding the PUSCH signal transmitted through the second carrier.

A base station (BS) operating a plurality of carriers, the BS comprising:

• a transceiver;
• and
• a processor controls the transceiver to:
• transmit, to a user equipment (UE) through a first carrier among the plurality of carriers, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signal including uplink (UL) grant-downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling transmission of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) signal, wherein the UL grant-DCI includes carrier indication information related to a second carrier among the plurality of carriers;
• receive, from the UE through the second carrier, the PUSCH signal as scheduled based on the UL grant-DCI;
• and
• transmit, through the first carrier where the PDCCH signal has been transmitted, hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) information regarding the PUSCH signal received through the second carrier.
