Abstract
A system for estimating an indoor speed of an individual is provided. The system includes a motion sensor attachable to an upper body of the individual and at least one processor being in communication with the motion sensor. The processor is configured for periodically prompting the user to provide a speed value or instructing the user to run/walk at a specific speed value, extracting features from data collected by the motion sensor that correspond to the speed value and calculating a speed of the individual from a probabilistic model.
Claims23
A headset comprising:
- (a) a pair of earbuds;
- and
- (b) a substantially U-shaped neck collar wired to said earbuds, said neck collar including an elastic element being configured for:
- (i) applying a force biasing said arms inward to thereby stabilize said neck collar on a neck of a user;
- and
- (ii) enabling folding of said neck collar into a folded configuration with said arms crossing each other and a bridge connecting said arms forming at least one complete loop.
