An imaging apparatus comprising:

• a correction unit configured to correct a distortion of a fisheye image captured with use of a fisheye lens:
• a generation unit configured to generate a thumbnail image of the fisheye image on which the distortion correction is carried out;
• and
• a storing unit configured to store the thumbnail image into a storage unit in association with the fisheye image, the thumbnail image including information indicating that the thumbnail image is a thumbnail image corresponding to the fisheye image.

An information processing method comprising:

• performing display control of causing a display unit to display thereon a thumbnail image of a captured image captured by an imaging unit;
• and
• receiving a selection instruction for selecting the thumbnail image for causing the display unit to display the captured image thereon,
• wherein the display control includes, when causing the display unit to display thereon a thumbnail image of a fisheye image captured with use of a fisheye lens, causing the display unit to display thereon a thumbnail image based on an image acquired by carrying out a distortion correction on the fisheye image.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium that stores a program for causing a computer to function as:

• a display control unit configured to cause a display unit to display thereon a thumbnail image of a captured image captured by an imaging unit;
• and
• a reception unit configured to receive a selection instruction for selecting the thumbnail image for causing the display unit to display the captured image thereon,
• wherein, when causing the display unit to display thereon a thumbnail image of a fisheye image captured with use of a fisheye lens, the display control unit causes the display unit to display thereon a thumbnail image based on an image acquired by carrying out a distortion correction on the fisheye image together with information indicating that the thumbnail image is a thumbnail image corresponding to the fisheye image.
