Abstract
Predictive scheduling may be provided. First, a first device may identify when a service flow is expected to become active. The first device may estimate an initial traffic profile in response to identifying when the service flow is expected to become active. The first device may then grant allocation based on the initial traffic profile of the service flow. Next, the first device may collect feedback to later update the traffic profile estimate. The first device may then update the traffic profile estimate.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- identifying, by a first device, when a service flow is expected to become active;
- estimating, by the first device, an initial traffic profile in response to identifying when the service flow is expected to become active;
- granting, by the first device, allocation based on the initial traffic profile of the service flow;
- collecting, by the first device, feedback to later update the traffic profile estimate;
- and
- updating, by the first device, the traffic profile estimate.
A system comprising:
- a memory storage;
- and
- a processing unit coupled to the memory storage, wherein the processing unit is operative to:
- identify when a service flow is expected to become active;
- estimate an initial traffic profile in response to identifying when the service flow is expected to become active;
- grant allocation based on the initial traffic profile of the service flow;
- collect feedback to later update the traffic profile estimate;
- and
- update the traffic profile estimate.
A computer-readable medium that stores a set of instructions which when executed perform a method comprising:
- identifying, by a first device, when a service flow is expected to become active;
- estimating, by the first device, an initial traffic profile in response to identifying when the service flow is expected to become active;
- granting, by the first device, allocation based on the initial traffic profile of the service flow;
- collecting, by the first device, feedback to later update the traffic profile estimate;
- and
- updating, by the first device, the traffic profile estimate.
