Abstract
A flexible display device includes a display panel configured to display an image, and a polarizing plate on the display panel. The flexible display device includes a folding area and a non-folding area. A first thickness of the polarizing plate in the folding area is greater than a second thickness of the polarizing plate in the non-folding area.

A flexible display device, comprising:
- a display panel configured to display an image;
- and
- a polarizing plate on the display panel,
- wherein the flexible display device includes a folding area and a non-folding area;
- and
- a first thickness of the polarizing plate in the folding area is greater than a second thickness of the polarizing plate in the non-folding area.

- a display panel configured to display an image;
- and
- a polarizing plate on the display panel and having a first stretching ratio in a folding area and a second stretching ratio in a non-folding area, wherein the second stretching ratio is greater than the first stretching ratio.
A polarizing plate for a flexible display device, comprising:
- a polarizing layer having a first stretching ratio in a first area and a second stretching ratio in a second area;
- and
- first and second TAC films on respective sides of the polarizing layer,
- wherein the second stretching ratio is greater than the first stretching ratio.
