A driving method executed by a driving device comprising a driver that drives a display, the method comprising:

• inverting, in a time less than or equal to a reference inversion time and at an inversion timing of a constant polarity inversion cycle, a polarity of a voltage to be applied to the display;
• and
• outputting image data to the driver at an image update timing of a cycle that is synchronized with the inversion cycle and that is equivalent to a reference cycle equal to the inversion cycle multiplied by an inverse of an integer, the image update timing being a time when a reference adjustment time elapses after a timing of the reference cycle, the reference adjustment time being less than a time of the reference cycle and greater than or equal to the reference inversion time.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program that is readable by a computer of a driving device comprising a driver that drives a display, the program causing the computer to function as

• a voltage inversion processor that inverts, in a time less than or equal to a reference inversion time and at an inversion timing of a constant polarity inversion cycle, a polarity of a voltage to be applied to the display;
• and
• an image data output processor that outputs image data to the driver at an image update timing of a cycle that is synchronized with the inversion cycle and that is equivalent to a reference cycle equal to the inversion cycle multiplied by an inverse of an integer, the image update timing being a time when a reference adjustment time elapses after a timing of the reference cycle, the reference adjustment time being less than a time of the reference cycle and greater than or equal to the reference inversion time.
