Abstract
A system for interactive gaming among a plurality of players includes a host computer system and a plurality of player terminals communicably coupled to the host computer system via a network. The plurality of player terminals are located at a plurality of licensed gaming locations. The plurality of player terminals are configured to engage the plurality of players in a common interactive game operated by the host computer system. The plurality of player terminals include means for dispensing player winnings from the player terminal.

A system comprising:
- a host computer system configured to facilitate one or more games that can be played at licensed gaming locations;
- a communications network through which the licensed gaming locations communicate with the host computer system;
- and
- one or more player terminals communicably coupled to the host computer system and configured to engage one or more players within the one or more games facilitated by the host computer system;
- wherein each of the one or more player terminals is configured to:
- receive a request to enter a gaming session facilitated by the host computer system,
- wherein the request includes a selection of the one or more games, and
- wherein the one or more games include at least two different games with different gaming rules;
- transmitting a signal to the host computer system to initiate a gaming session;
- receive signals related to the gaming session when an associated player terminal is located in a licensed location;
- and
- generate a credit upon receiving value via a cash and credit interaction area;
- and
- a collusion detection component to:
- monitor the one or more player terminals and the one or more games being played thereon and identify gambling rule violations;
- wherein the collusion detection component monitors frequency of common play between players;
- monitor locations of the one or more player terminals and causes any of the one or more player terminals that are not located within the licensed gaming locations to be excluded from the one or more games;
- and
- holding, in response to determination of gambling rule violations by the collusion detection component, any value received from violating players.
A system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- a cash and credit area configured to receive value from a player;
- a gaming interaction area configured to receive interactions from the player to play multiple games;
- a display to depict action from the at least one of the multiple games selected by the player;
- and
- a memory having instructions stored thereon that when executed by the one or more processors cause a machine to:
- generate a credit in exchange for value received via the cash and credit area;
- monitor the gaming interaction area for a bet having a betting value;
- deduct, upon detecting the bet received via the gaming interaction area, the betting value from the credit;
- and
- monitor the gaming interaction area for interactions from the player;
- a rule violation detection component to monitor the multiple games to identify unusual activity by the player;
- wherein the unusual activity by the player includes frequency of common play between two or more players;
- and
- wherein when the machine is not located within licensed gaming locations, the machine is excluded by the rule violation detection component from betting on the multiple games;
- and
- wherein, in response to determination of a violation by the rule violation detection component, violating players are banned and any value received from violating players is held until resolution.
A system comprising:
- a plurality of player terminals;
- wherein a first set of the plurality of player terminals are located within one or more licensed gaming locations;
- wherein each of the plurality of player terminals are configured to receive value and upon receiving the value use a processor to generate a credit;
- wherein players associated with the first set of the plurality of player terminals are allowed to interact with one or more games during a course of the one or more games through a player interaction area that includes a betting interface to place a bet having a betting value that is then deducted from the credit;
- and
- a violation detection component to monitor the one or more games to identify gambling rule violations or unusual activity by the players;
- wherein the violation detection component actively monitors locations of the plurality of player terminals and excludes any of the plurality of player terminals that are not located within the one or more licensed gaming locations from betting on the one or more games;
- wherein the violation detection component also monitors frequency of play of two or more of the players;
- wherein, in response to detection of unusual activity by the violation detection component, a flag is triggered resulting in future actions from players involved in the unusual activity receiving higher scrutiny and any value received from the players involved in the unusual activity is held until resolution;

- restricting, in response to detection of location violations by the electronic collusion measures, any of the one or more player terminals that are determined to not be located within licensed gaming locations from participating in the gaming sessions;
- and
- generating, in response to detection of unusual activity by the electronic collusion measures, a flag resulting in future actions from players involved in the unusual activity receiving higher scrutiny or the players involved in the unusual activity being immediately barred.
A gaming system comprising:
- means for receiving monetary value from players;
- means for generating credits for each of the players providing monetary value;
- means for depicting action from gaming sessions;
- means for allowing the players to place bets;
