Abstract
Apparatus, methods and system relating to a vehicular telemetry environment for an intelligent Bluetooth beacon I/O expansion of the vehicular telemetry hardware system. The intelligent Bluetooth beacon I/O expansion provides a capability to receive beacon data, log beacon data, communicate beacon data and operate on beacon data to determine and further communicate a range of operational conditions, such as damage, hazardous and missing objects in the form of text messages, audio messages or compliance and management reports.
Claims49
A telemetry wireless beacon apparatus comprising:
- a wireless beacon communication device, and
- a vehicle device,
- said vehicle device further comprising a processor, firmware, communications processor, telematic sensors and an interface to communicate with a vehicle network communications bus,
- wherein said processor and firmware capable to monitor and receive data in real time from said interface, said telematics sensors and said wireless beacon communication device thereby capable to log said data for subsequent communication to a remote device.
A telemetry wireless beacon data monitoring and logging method comprising:
- monitoring and receiving data from at least one of an interface to vehicle engine data or telematics sensors, receiving beacon data provided by a wireless beacon communication device, and logging data and beacon data as telemetry data for subsequent communication to a remote device.
A telemetry wireless beacon data preprocessing method comprising:
- accessing a log of telemetry data, said telemetry data including data and beacon data,
- translating said data into at least one of engine codes, G forces, map locations,
- for each unique identifier in said beacon data, translating said beacon data into at least one of a beacon temperature, beacon pressure, beacon light, beacon acceleration, beacon battery level or beacon user defined sensor reading, and storing a preprocessing telemetry log of said telemetry data for further fleet management condition processing.
A telemetry wireless beacon system comprising:
- a wireless beacon communication device,
- at least one beacon device,
- at least one remote device, and
- at least one vehicle device,
- said at least one vehicle device further comprising a processor, firmware, communications processor, telematics sensors and an interface to communicate with a vehicle network communications bus,
- said at least one beacon device capable to communicate beacon data with said wireless beacon communication device, said at least one vehicle device capable to communicate with said at least one remote device,
- wherein said processor and firmware capable to monitor and receive data from said interface, said telematics sensors and said wireless beacon communication device thereby capable to log said data for subsequent communication to said at least one remote device.
A telemetry wireless beacon data fleet management condition determination method comprising:
- providing at least access to first data that identifies and associates beacon unique identifiers with objects,
- providing at least access to second data of threshold values and limits associated with beacon data,
- providing access to a preprocessing telemetry log of telemetry data,
- determining each object located with a vehicle, said determine each object located with a vehicle comprising:
- identifying each beacon unique identifier disposed with an initial vehicle location,
- identifying each beacon unique identifier disposed with a second vehicle location, said second vehicle location determined by one of a speed, distance, location or geofence,
- wherein said identifying each beacon unique identifier disposed with a second vehicle location determines an accurate number of objects disposed with a vehicle.
