Methods and systems for displaying query status information on a graphical user interface

A method of displaying query status information on a graphical user interface, the method comprising:

• reading, with an electronic computing device, a gesture made on a touch sensitive display;
• generating, with the electronic computing device, a query based on the gesture;
• displaying, based on the gesture, a displayed gesture on the touch sensitive display, the displayed gesture substantially enclosing an area of the touch sensitive display;
• generating, with the electronic computing device, a response to the query,
• configuring, with the electronic computing device, the area on the touch sensitive display substantially enclosed by the displayed gesture to be a button;
• receiving an input on the touch sensitive display indicating that the area on the touch sensitive display substantially enclosed by the displayed gesture has been touched;
• and
• outputting the response, with an output device, in response to receiving the input indicating that the area on the touch sensitive display substantially enclosed by the displayed gesture has been touched.
