A composition of vitamin D having enhanced stability and enhanced bioavailability, the composition comprising vitamin D in contact with at least one comestible oil, wherein said contact increases the bioavailability and stability of said vitamin D compared to control vitamin D that has not been contacted with said comestible oil.
