Abstract
A cosmetics case having a housing configured to receive and contain cosmetics brushes. The case additionally having a lid and an interior shelf. The interior shelf including a recessed region containing a planar magnet such that a user can selectively magnetically engage cosmetics contained within a metal pan with the planar magnet in the recessed region. The lid, housing and interior shelf having embedded complimentary magnets position and configured to hold the case securely closed until a user desires to open and access the case.

A case comprising:
- a housing;
- a lid pivotally coupled with said housing;
- and
- an interior shelf pivotally coupled with said housing at substantially the same location as a couple location between said housing and said lid;
- wherein said interior shelf comprises a magnetic component;
- and
- wherein said lid, said housing and said interior shelf have complimentary magnetic elements adapted and configured to selectively retain said lid substantially adjacent to said interior shelf and said housing.

A cosmetics case comprising:
- a rectangular housing adapted and configured to accept cosmetics application tools;
- a rectangular lid having substantially the same planar dimensions as said housing, pivotally coupled with said housing;
- and
- a rectangular interior shelf pivotally having substantially the same planar dimensions as said housing coupled with said housing at substantially the same location as a couple location between said housing and said lid;
- wherein said interior shelf comprises a recessed magnetic component adapted and configured to selectively engage and retain in place cosmetics contained within metal pans;
- and
- wherein said lid, said housing and said interior shelf have complimentary magnetic elements adapted and configured to selectively retain said lid substantially adjacent to said interior shelf and said housing.
