Abstract
A method of selectively inhibiting the overexpression of mPGES-1 in a subject in need thereof includes a step of administering an effective amount of a selective mPGES-1 inhibitor or a salt thereof to the subject. A method of treating a subject suffering from a disease associated with an overexpression of mPGES-1 and having a risk of cardiovascular event includes the step of administering an effective amount of a selective mPGES-1 inhibitor to the subject.

A method of selectively inhibiting the overexpression of mPGES-1 in a subject in need thereof comprising a step of administering an effective amount of a selective mPGES-1 inhibitor having a structure of Formula (I) or a salt thereof to the subject:
- wherein the subject is suffering from a cardiovascular disease or at risk of a cardiovascular event.
A method of treating a subject suffering from arthritis associated with an overexpression of mPGES-1 and having a risk of cardiovascular event, comprising the step of administering an effective amount of a selective mPGES-1 inhibitor to the subject, wherein the selective mPGES-1 inhibitor has a structure of Formula (II) or a salt thereof:
