Presentation of an avatar in association with a merchant system

A first system comprising a memory storing executable computer instructions that, when executed by a processor, perform the operations of:

• identifying, by a first avatar engine coupled to the first system, a second system based on at least one response to an avatar presented on a media device;
• establishing, by the first avatar engine, a communication session with a second avatar engine associated with the second system;
• receiving, by the first avatar engine and from the second avatar engine, at least one instruction describing an adaptation model;
• adapting, by the first avatar engine, the avatar to correlate at least in part with the adaptation model based on the received at least one instruction;
• and
• providing, by the first avatar engine, the adapted avatar for presentation on the media device.

A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processing system including a processor, facilitate performance of operations comprising:

• identifying, by a first avatar engine, a system based on at least one response to an avatar presented on a media device;
• establishing, by the first avatar engine, a communication session with a second avatar engine associated with the system;
• receiving, by the first avatar engine and from the second avatar engine, at least one instruction describing an adaptation model;
• adapting, by the first avatar engine, the avatar to correlate at least in part with the adaptation model based on the received at least one instruction;
• and
• providing, by the first avatar engine, the adapted avatar for presentation on the media device.

A method comprising:

• identifying, by a first avatar engine, a system based on at least one response to an avatar presented on a media device;
• establishing, by the first avatar engine, a communication session with a second avatar engine associated with the system;
• receiving, by the first avatar engine and from the second avatar engine, at least one instruction describing an adaptation model;
• adapting, by the first avatar engine, the avatar to correlate at least in part with the adaptation model based on the received at least one instruction;
• and
• providing, by the first avatar engine, the adapted avatar for presentation on the media device.
