Long medium

A long medium comprising:

• a plurality of holes equidistantly provided on a straight line on both side edge parts in a longitudinal direction;
• a mark part provided on at least one of the side edge parts and including the plurality of holes;
• a plurality of first indicators equidistantly and repeatedly given on a straight line;
• and
• a plurality of second indicators repeatedly given on a straight line different from a row of the first indicators at spacings shorter than spacings of the first indicators, the second indicators are each arranged between a respective pair of the first indicators;
• wherein
• the plurality of holes, the plurality of first indicators, and the plurality of second indicators are provided approximately in parallel to each other;
• the plurality of holes sectioned by adjacent ones of the first indicators become paired leading-end mark and trailing-end mark indicating a reference length of the long medium, and
• the second indicators are each provided to a side of the trailing-end mark, and each gradually comes closer to the leading-end mark that pairs up with the trailing-end mark as the long medium runs toward a trailing end.
