Abstract
A method and system for operating a user equipment (UE) wherein a first set of radio access procedures are supported when the UE is in a first operating state, and a second set of radio access procedures are supported when the UE is in a second operating state.
Claims25
A method comprising:
- assigning, by a network controller, a user equipment (UE) centric sequence and a tracking channel resource to a UE that is in a first state, the first state being different from an active state;
- and
- providing, by the network controller, the assigned UE centric sequence and the tracking channel resource to the UE.
An apparatus comprising a processor coupled with a memory, the processor configured to:
- assign a user equipment (UE) centric sequence and a tracking channel resource to a UE that is in a first state, the first state being different from an active state;
- and
- provide the assigned UE centric sequence and the tracking channel resource to the UE.
A method comprising:
- receiving, from a network entity, by a user equipment (UE) that is in a first state, a UE centric sequence and a tracking channel resource;
- and
- sending, to the network entity, by the UE that is in the first state, the UE centric sequence on the tracking channel resource, the first state being different from an active state.
An apparatus comprising a processor coupled with a memory, the processor configured to:
- when the apparatus is in a first state, receive a user equipment (UE) centric sequence and a tracking channel resource from a network entity and send to the network entity the UE centric sequence on the tracking channel resource, the first state being different from an active state.
