A power transmitting apparatus comprising:

• a member configured to mount a power receiving apparatus;
• a power transmitting unit configured to wirelessly transmit power to the power receiving apparatus mounted on the member;
• a communication unit configured to communicate with the power receiving apparatus mounted on the member;
• and
• a control unit configured to control the power transmitting unit and the communication unit,
• wherein the communication unit transmits information to the power receiving apparatus mounted on the member, thereby the power receiving apparatus displays, based on the information transmitted by the communication unit, a charging message representing a charging speed.

A method for controlling a power transmitting apparatus comprising a member configured to mount a power receiving apparatus and a power transmitting unit configured to wirelessly transmit power to the power receiving apparatus mounted on the member, the method comprising:

• wirelessly transmitting power to the power receiving apparatus mounted on the member by the power transmitting unit;
• and
• communicating with the power receiving apparatus mounted on the member,
• wherein, in the communicating, transmitting information to the power receiving apparatus mounted on the member, thereby the power receiving apparatus displays, based on the information transmitted by the communication unit, a charging message representing a charging speed.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a computer program for causing a computer to execute a method for controlling a power transmitting apparatus comprising a member configured to mount a power receiving apparatus and a power transmitting unit configured to wirelessly transmit power to the power receiving apparatus mounted on the member, the program comprising code to execute:

• wirelessly transmitting power to the power receiving apparatus mounted on the member by the power transmitting unit;
• and
• communicating with the power receiving apparatus mounted on the member,
• wherein, in communicating, transmitting information to the power receiving apparatus mounted on the member, thereby the power receiving apparatus displays, based on the information transmitted by the communication unit, a charging message representing a charging speed.
