Abstract
A digital license plate with an associated antenna system is disclosed. The system allows for improved antenna signal broadcast and reception, and can include at least one antenna of the antenna system attached to the digital license plate at the lower portion to reduce electromagnetic screening when attached to a vehicle
Claims21
An antenna system for a digital license plate, comprising:
- a digital license plate having an upper portion and a lower portion, with the digital license plate attached to a vehicle and connected to receive wireless data and/or GNSS data through an antenna system;
- and
- at least one antenna of the antenna system attached to the digital license plate effective to reduce electromagnetic screening when attached to a vehicle, the at least one antenna being located internally in the digital license plate and horizontally and vertically overlapping a center of the digital license plate.
