Abstract
A data storage device includes a non-volatile memory device and a controller. The controller is configured to calculate a read range including read regions that may correspond to each of read commands for the same physical address among a plurality of read commands received from a host device. The controller may be configured to generate an integral read command for simultaneously reading the calculated read range. The controller may transmit the integral read command to the non-volatile memory device.
Claims20
A data storage device comprising:
- a non-volatile memory device;
- and
- a controller configured to calculate a read range including read regions corresponding to each of read commands for the same physical address, among read commands received from a host device, to generate an integral read command for simultaneously reading the read range, and to transmit the integral read command to the non-volatile memory device.
A method of operating a data storage device, comprising:
- providing the data storage device including a non-volatile memory device and a controller for controlling operations of the non-volatile memory device;
- detecting read commands for a same physical address, among read commands received from a host device;
- calculating a read range including read regions of each of the detected read commands;
- generating an integral read command for simultaneously reading the read regions in the calculated read range;
- and
- transmitting the integral read command to the non-volatile memory device.
A data storage device comprising:
- a non-volatile memory device;
- and
- a controller configured to control operations of the non-volatile memory device,
- wherein the controller includes:
- a read command manager configured to calculate a read range including read regions corresponding to each of read commands for the same physical address, among read commands received from a host device, to generate an integral read command for simultaneously reading the read range, and to transmit the integral read command to the non-volatile memory device.
