The invention relates to feedback device (10) for a gas ionisation particle detector that comprises a high voltage generator (21) capable of creating a potential difference between electrodes placed in a gas chamber (20). The feedback device comprises a voltage regulator (11) configured to calculate an indicator characteristic of a measurement signal output by the electronic read unit (22) capable of collecting an electrical signal induced by a particle passing through the chamber and to modify a set voltage output to the high voltage generator (21) as a function of the indicator characteristic of the measurement signal.
