• A cutting ring for use in a connection arrangement according to claim 1, having an outer cone that is delimited by a radial contact surface, wherein a ring groove (26) is disposed in the outer cone (23), at a distance from the contact surface (24), which groove accommodates an elastomer circumferential seal (5), wherein a ring surface (27) is formed between the ring groove (26) and the contact surface (24), the width of which surface preferably amounts to at least 0.4 mm, particularly preferably at least 0.6 mm.

• The cutting ring according to claim 10, wherein a projection (264) that projects into the ring groove (26) is formed on the inner wall (261) of the ring groove (26), thereby forming an undercut.

• The cutting ring according to claim 10, wherein the outer wall (262) of the ring groove (26), which faces away from the contact surface (24), encloses an angle β of greater than 90 degrees with the outer cone (23) that borders on it, at least in a region that borders on the outer cone (23), wherein the transition between ring groove (26) and outer cone (23) is preferably configured to be rounded off, and wherein particularly preferably, the outer wall (262) of the ring groove (26) has an S-shaped contour in cross-section.
