Abstract
Various embodiments may include a fuel pump for applying pressure to a fuel in a fuel injection system comprising: a housing with a pressure chamber; a fluid port for conducting fuel to and/or from the pressure chamber; a port receiving bore in the housing for receiving the fluid port; and a screw drive arranged in the internal bore of the fluid port, via which the fluid port can be acted on in order to be screwed into the port receiving bore. The fluid port has an internal bore fluidically connected to the pressure chamber. The fluid port is fastened in the port receiving bore with a screw connection.
Claims11
A fuel pump for applying pressure to a fuel in a fuel injection system, the fuel pump comprising:
- a housing with a pressure chamber in which pressure is applied to the fuel;
- a fluid port for conducting fuel to the pressure chamber or away from the pressure chamber;
- wherein the fluid port has an internal bore fluidically connected to the pressure chamber;
- a port receiving bore in the housing for receiving the fluid port;
- wherein the fluid port is fastened in the port receiving bore with a screw connection;
- and
- a screw drive arranged in the internal bore of the fluid port,
- via which the fluid port can be acted on in order to be screwed into the port receiving bore.
A fuel injection system comprising:
- a fuel pump and a line for conducting fuel in the fuel injection system, the fuel pump comprising:
- a housing with a pressure chamber in which pressure is applied to the fuel;
- a fluid port for conducting fuel to the pressure chamber or away from the pressure chamber;
- wherein the fluid port has an internal bore fluidically connected to the pressure chamber;
- a port receiving bore in the housing for receiving the fluid port;
- wherein the fluid port is fastened in the port receiving bore with a screw connection;
- and
- a screw drive arranged in the internal bore of the fluid port,
- via which the fluid port can be acted on in order to be screwed into the port receiving bore;
- wherein the line is connected to the fluid port concealing the screw drive.
