Abstract
A layer for a bedding product such as a mattress includes an extruded three dimensional polymeric fiber matrix layer having constant length, width and height dimensions, the extruded three dimensional polymeric fiber matrix layer comprising randomly oriented fibers bonded at coupling points between adjacent fibers and having a free volume per unit area of the layer, wherein the fibers comprise a polymer and a phase change material.
Claims20
A layer for a bedding product, comprising:
- an extruded three dimensional polymeric fiber matrix layer having constant length, width and height dimensions, the extruded three dimensional polymeric fiber matrix layer comprising randomly oriented fibers bonded at coupling points between adjacent fibers and having a free volume per unit area of the layer, wherein the fibers comprise a polymer and a phase change material coextruded therein.
A mattress comprising:
- an extruded three dimensional polymeric fiber matrix layer having constant length, width and height dimensions, the extruded three dimensional polymeric fiber matrix layer comprising randomly oriented fibers bonded at coupling points between adjacent fibers and having a free volume per unit area of the layer, wherein the fibers comprise a polymer and a phase change material coextruded therein.
