Abstract
A nitrogen stabilizing composition is provided. The composition includes 22 to 26% w/w N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT), 4 to 8% w/w of 3,4-dimethyl pyrazole phosphate (DMPP) and/or nitrapyrin, a solvent including N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) and propylene glycol, 0.1 to 5% w/w vegetable oil, and 0.1 to 5% w/w lecithin.
Claims15
A nitrogen stabilizing composition comprising:
- 22 to 26% w/w N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT);
- 4 to 8% w/w of at least one nitrification inhibitor selected from the group consisting of 3,4-dimethyl pyrazole phosphate (DMPP) and nitrapyrin;
- a solvent comprising N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) and propylene glycol;
- 0.1 to 5% w/w vegetable oil;
- and
- 0.1 to 5% w/w lecithin.

A nitrogen stabilizing composition comprising:
- 22 to 26% w/w N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT);
- 6% w/w 3,4-dimethyl pyrazole phosphate (DMPP) or nitrapyrin;
- a solvent comprising 35 to 45% w/w N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) and 20 to 28% w/w propylene glycol;
- 0.1 to 5% w/w canola oil;
- and
- 0.1 to 5% w/w sunflower lecithin.
3 more elements
A method for making a liquid nitrogen stabilizing composition comprising:
- (a) dissolving N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT) and 3,4-dimethyl pyrazole phosphate (DMPP) or nitrapyrin in a solvent comprising N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) and propylene glycol;
- and
- (b) adding a vegetable oil and lecithin to the mixture from step (a), wherein final concentrations of components in the composition are:
- 22 to 26% w/w N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT);
- 4 to 8% 3,4-dimethyl pyrazole phosphate (DMPP), nitrapyrin or a combination thereof;
- 0.1 to 5% w/w vegetable oil;
- and
- 0.1 to 5% w/w lecithin.
