A pencil sharpening device comprising:
- (a) an outer shell;
- (b) a removable top with a first opening formed therein, wherein said removable top is attached to said outer shell;
- (c) a cutter head housed in said removable top;
- (d) a motor housed in said outer shell, wherein said motor drives rotation of said cutter head;
- and
- (e) a flashlight head with at least one light, wherein said flashlight head is situated at the bottom of said outer shell, opposite said first opening of said removeable top,
- wherein said pencil sharpening device is configured to sharpen a pencil with a circular, polygonal, elliptical or rectangular cross-section.
