Abstract
Tool cores may have removable sections, which may be removable without damaging, cutting or severing attachment configurations for the removable sections. The removable sections may be handled simultaneously. Moving parts used to facilitate removal of the removable sections may be secured in a pre-loaded configuration.

A core for a tool, the core comprising a support portion so that the core can be supported by a machine for operating the tool, at least first and second layers extending from the support portion to respective first and second outer portions, and a movable element extending between the first and second layers and configured to be movable between the first and second layers.
A removable carrier for one or more working elements for a working tool, the removable carrier configured to be removably supported on a tool core for forming the working tool, the removable carrier comprising a working body portion configured to receive working elements used by a working tool for working a workpiece, and a support portion coupled to the working body portion wherein the support portion includes a planar portion having first and second openings each extending through the planar portion and each extending in respective directions toward the working body portion wherein the respective directions are nonparallel.
A method of assembling a tool core comprising assembling first and second layers with at least one movable element at least partly between the first and second layers such that the at least one movable element can move between the layers other than pivotally.
A method of using a working tool having a plurality of removable carriers comprising moving the plurality of removable carriers within a plane away from a perimeter of the working tool, and moving a removable carrier out of contact with the working tool in a direction approximately perpendicular to the plane.
