Abstract
An additively manufactured element includes a support structure connected to an article body. The connectors connecting the support structure to the article body are fused supports. Also disclosed is a method for removing the support structure from the article body by passing an electrical current through the fused supports, thereby breaking the fused supports.

An additively manufactured element comprising:
- a support structure;
- and
- an article body connected to the support structure via a plurality of fused supports.
A method for removing an additively manufactured part from a support structure comprising:
- passing an electrical current through an additively manufactured structure, thereby destroying a plurality of connectors connecting a support portion of the additively manufactured structure to a part portion of the additively manufactured structure.
