Abstract
A method for transmitting at least one of electrical power and signals between a wall and a leaf which can be pivoted relative to the wall. The method includes providing a transmission device, detecting a magnetic field strength in surroundings of the transmission device, and generating a fault signal when the magnetic field strength exceeds a threshold value.

A method for transmitting at least one of electrical power and signals between a wall and a leaf which can be pivoted relative to the wall, the method comprising:
- providing a transmission device;
- detecting a magnetic field strength in surroundings of the transmission device;
- and
- generating a fault signal when the magnetic field strength exceeds a threshold value.
A device for transmitting at least one of electrical power and signals between a wall and a leaf which is mounted so as to pivot on the wall, the device comprising:
- a transmission device which comprises a device for detecting a magnetic field strength in surroundings of the transmission device.
