Abstract
A composition for absorbing liquids such as water and oil can include a thermoplastic elastomeric copolymer, a superabsorbent material, and a solvent. The composition can be applied as a coating to a non-woven substrate. A method of removing water or oil from a surface employing the composition is also disclosed.

A composition comprising:
- a thermoplastic elastomeric copolymer;
- a superabsorbent material;
- and
- a solvent, the thermoplastic elastomeric copolymer being dissolved in the solvent.

- a non-woven material comprising a plurality of fibers;
- and
- a composition applied to the non-woven material, the composition comprising:
- a thermoplastic elastomeric copolymer;
- a superabsorbent material;
- and
- a solvent.

A method of removing oil or water from a surface, the method comprising:
- providing a composition, the composition including a thermoplastic elastomeric copolymer, a superabsorbent material, and a solvent, the thermoplastic elastomeric copolymer being dissolved in the solvent;
- applying the composition to the surface to absorb the oil or water;
- and
- removing the composition from the surface to remove the absorbed oil or water.
