A method of making a rotary magnetic drive member, the method comprising:
- establishing a helical magnet on a rod using an additive manufacturing process.
A magnetic drive member, comprising:
- a non-magnetic rod;
- and
- a helical magnet comprising a plurality of turns supported on the non-magnetic rod with an axial spacing between axially adjacent segments of the helical magnet.
